Extra cards for Muddy Paws, Ribbon Challenge # 5

This card was made by Maggie, what a wonderful colourful way to use the ribbons.  We have had a few different types of this diamond card, and we still can not work out how it is made!

Maggie also made this one, we love ribbon weaving.  Ali has been working on some new kits, maybe she will include ribbon weaving.

Leigh sent in this sweet decoupage doggie. The creation below is also from Leigh, what a wicked idea, we have seen this idea to make albums but never a card.

Lots of parcels arrived on Friday for the new challenge - Summer Fizz, we will get them on the site soon.  Hope the weather has been kind to you this weekend and you have had lots of fun.    

Summer Fizz Ribbons have been added to the site, there are butterflies and daisies  in delightful shades of lemon and oranges.  Wide 62mm wire edge ribbons and 4mm narrow cord, padded butterflies to scallop edges.  This a fresh, lush collection of ribbons - all ready for the summer.  All we need is for the summer to return!

We all plan on jumping on Mr Postie tomorrow, can't wait to see what everyone who took part in our Ribbon Challenge # 5 has made.

"STOP!  STOP THE CAR! Please, I want to get out."

So I stop the car and Ali rushes out,  what was wrong, had I hit something or is she feeling ill, I start to get out as well.  I see her running back up the hill, slightly out of breath, LOOK! LOOK! as she pushes her camera towards me.......

She had seen a buttercup field.......and an inpirsational bubble had burst.

Ali had been working on this bag for a few evenings, the little butterflies are from our NEW Summer Fizz range (due on the site today) and the grass was embroidered using 3mm satin.  After all these years it still amazes me, how you talented crafters can create such wonderful works of art from RIBBON.

I like getting to the postman first this week (Challenge parcels are starting to arrive) I tease the girls with Ooo AaaH as I open the post.

It would appear that we are on the right track. From the response we had to the launch of the 3mm grosgrain ribbon - I was not the only one who has been searching for 3mm grosgrain!  So pleased you liked them. 

We received several emails saying that you "Wanted them ALL!"  So we all twisted Tony's arm (on your behalf) and we have come up with a "WANT IT ALL" price of £24.00 for all 58 colours  That's a massive saving of £5.00 off the bag price and reduces the cost to below 21p a metre - thanks Tony.

I was so excited when I first found this narrow Grosgrain ribbon.  I had been hunting for it for some time, it was easy to find in black, white and red - But me, being me wanted it in, exotic colours, like, Dolphin, Beauty and Claret!!

I nearly gave the girls a heart attack, I ran into the warehouse shouting, I found it, I have finally found it!!!

There are nearly 60, YES 60 different colours in the range, and they are all awesome.  I have saved the best bit till last -  ONLY 25p per metre

I hear that "Summer Fizz" has landed on your door mats - have fun!

The girls all took part in our local Race for Life in Dorchester on Sunday. If you have ever attended  a Race for Life you will be fully aware of the emotions this event evokes,  3500 women and girls mostly dressed in pink is a site to be seen, I challenge anyone to leave without shedding a tear.

This day was in Memory of Zena and Arthur, the girls Mother and Father, both lost to cancer.

It was a very hot day and armed with bottles of water and factor 30 they beat last years time.

I am very proud of you girls, and so would your parents be...
