Friday FREEBIE - 45

clock November 25, 2011 09:03 by author Crafty Ribbons

"ALL hands to the pumps"....well no not pumps but ribbons!  Yes I am wanted..........helping with despatching orders.  The girls have a STRICT order number system of pulling orders.  No order jumps the queue unless it is a City Link order.

BUT - "I do not want to do that one, or that one, I will do the easy ones........the ones with only one or two items". NO Ali, by order number....BUT.............BUT............... I felt like a naughty child.  My ball I will do what I want!!!!  In the end Rachie and Bev grudgingly allowed me to pick the easy orders, so if your order arrived sooner then you thought and it only had a few items in it............ you have me to thank, I picked your order!!!

I have already been told that I am packing orders today, I like doing this, I get to choose which "I'm FREE" ribbon to give.  Little things!

As I have been roped into help with the orders I have got rather behind with my own work.  I have piles of Challenge goodies to photograph (thank you) I hope to start this over the weekend and share next week.

I am late with my DT project for the Challenge blog, which started yesterday - sorry everyone.

Challenge 7 is being hosted by Bonnie and it is -  Make a Tag.  Tags and ribbons were made for each other..............and tags need a parcel to go on............................

How simple is that.

Looking at the tag I think I should have put white card behind the snowflake as the lime is not a perfect match.  The ribbons I used were Go Grosgrain snowflakes here, Let it snow here and 3mm satin here.  For even more tag inspiration then have a look at the Design teams creations - totally fab here.

Bev has also come up with a NEW Bev's bag....................(DO NOT panic if you have not got round to ordering the Christmas ones, she has left those on the site as well.)

You know what Bev is like, she fancied a NEW colour way, this time she has gone for Plum Pudding.

........oooooh yummmie, maybe she should have done a side bag of lashings of cream and white ribbons!!!  You can find Bev's NEW Ribbon Bag HERE

OR..........

....we have four Bev's bags for this weeks Friday FREEBIE.  For a chance to win, just leave us a comment and we will pick four winners on Monday.

Oh well the order packing table is calling me.

Have a fab weekend.

Hello wednesday - Let it snow....

clock October 19, 2011 10:46 by author Crafty Ribbons

Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday  "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!

I am being a little bit naughty this morning.  I have used a ribbon that only arrived in the warehouse on Monday so is not on the site yet.................but please forgive me.  I have not crafted or played with ribbon for almost two weeks, the temptation and lure of this NEW ribbon was just toooooooo great for me!

I hope you can see why.  The little snow covered trees are the perfect match for our let it snow ribbon (here).  I promise to get the NEW ribbon on the site by the end of the week.

The fact that the ribbon colours are identical means that very little else is needed to make a simple card. I had these luggage tags left over from the Christmas cards I made last year - if you can not remember, have a look here.

With the weather turning, Bev is also thinking of Christmas.  Yes she has a NEW Bev's bag - well two to be precise (she could not make up her mind yeaterday!!!!) so we have TWO ribbon bags this time.

Ooooh that is a difficult one Bev - I love them ALL!

Friday FREEBIE - 35

clock September 9, 2011 10:42 by author Crafty Ribbons

It is that time of week AGAIN! Time really flys when you are having fun.

I had a perfect day yesterday behind the camera and almost caught up with myself, with a good day today I should be back on track.

Bev was busy in the warehouse on Wednesday selecting her NEW must have ribbons for the season.  The first ribbon she picked was the Christmas Pine Cone - "Not just for Christmas" she said. The rest of the ribbons sort of cascaded into her basket - hence Autumn Cascade!

You can have all of these 19 different ribbons for the crazy price of £5.00 - satin, grosgrain heart, eyelash, sheer, wire edge, grosgrain leaves, pine cones.  The cascade goes on and on you can find it here..........or................we have 4 Bev's NEW Ribbon Bags for this weeks Friday FREEBIE prize.  Leave a comment and you could be picked from our Bingo Bag on Monday. There are 4 prizes this week.

Talking about Monday - did you know that it is National Cupcake Week all next week?  Well, do we have a treat or two for you...........nope my lips are sealed.................only way to find out is to come and visit us ALL next week and see what we have in store for you.

New England Challenge, the first few parcels have started to arrive, so yesterday I snapped a few creations.   WOW do we have some stunning creations.

Laura has made this delightful easel card.  I love the way you have brought in Gold with the NEW England colours - stunning.

Sorry photo not brill, but can you see what Laura has done - decoupaged the hanging decorations, fab Laura.

Laura's main "thing" is card making but she does dabble in other forms of crafts, so she made this bookmark for me.  It is designed to slip over the pages of a paperback.  I am an avid reader, so will give it a whirl Laura.

This card was made by Carol one of our DT girls (have you entered our first challenge? you will find it here ).  Carol entered the New England Challenge before she was picked to be a DT girl. Your cards are always beautiful Carol, this little bear is a sweetie.  I do have a couple more cards from Carol but I will save them for next week.

Hope you all have a super weekend, I am trying to persuade Tony a day in Dartmouth would be good tomorrow.  I like to watch the boats!

If you are unable to leave a comment due to our spam filters, please email it to craftyribbons@gmail.com and we will add it for you.
All the comments go into our "Bingo" bag and we draw a random number(s) on Monday.

Bev's Summer Buckets

clock July 25, 2011 08:39 by author Crafty Ribbons

Bev has been thinking of her summer holiday for weeks - relaxing around the pool, playing with Syd and Sam on the beach.  So when I found these buckets and spades she snapped them up for her NEW Summer Collection of Bev's Ribbons.

Three colour collections lime, turquoise and shocking there are 20 different ribbons in each collection so 60 different ribbons in total.  All the ribbons are 1mtr long and still the amazing price of £5.00 each or........................WANT IT ALL of the 3 colours for £13.00

That's Bev's Summer Bargain for you.  As always they are limited so snap them up while you can because I am sure Bev will be thinking of her next colour combo while sitting around the pool!!!  You can find Bev's NEW Summer Buckets of ribbons HERE

It was not only Bev that liked my buckets and spades, the little ones have been dying to get their hands on them......................

I photographed the pink bucket first and put it behind me so it would not blow away, I did the same when I finished the Lime one.........but.................... a certain someone had removed the ribbons and was having a good old play!!  The weather was not very nice yesterday so we had the beach to our selves!

I wonder why...

Friday FREEBIE - 20

clock May 20, 2011 06:53 by author Crafty Ribbons

We certainly have had a busy week, what with being raided by Pirates and then capturing their treasure chest and finding it filled to the brim with Skull and Crossbones ribbons. And I know Bev has decided that Summer has arrived.  It was her day off yesterday but she popped into the office to put together her NEW Bev's bag - she had been sitting in her garden enjoying the sun shine with Sam and thought oh "A Splash of Summer"

So this is Bev's NEW Ribbon Bag - Summer Splash.

WOW what striking colours Bev and I see you have sneaked in two of the LOVE ribbons! If you fancy a Summer Splash Bev's Bag you can find them here. Still the great price of £5.00

So what would you like for this weeks Friday FREEBIE prize.....are you into pink and lime and some Summer Splash.....or would you like some of these treasures.....

That's correct you can pick your Friday FREEBIE prize this week - A Bev's NEW Ribbon Bag or a Collection of Pirate Ribbon.  I am feeling very generous so how about 4 prizes, so 4 lucky readers can have lots of ribbons to play with.  All you have to do for a chance to win is leave us a comment. I have mentioned this several times but sometimes our spam filters eat your comments!! Please just email it to me at craftyribbons@gmail.com and I will add it for you - can't have you missing out on some FREEBIE ribbon.

This is the last collection of Seam Binding ribbon goodies - it has just been amazing showing you all the new and wonderful techniques that everyone came up with.  If you have been thinking about giving Seam Binding a try, then go for it, we are postive that you will not be disappointed. You can find all the colours here.

This last collection is by Linda who has created some unique pieces from crocheting and finger weaving the seam binding.

Cor I am a fan of crocheting (as I can not knit) but never thought of trying it with ribbon.  This hair grip is stunning Linda, you could also use it as a brooch..  I sent 1mtr(ish) lengths out to all the challengers but Linda thinks that a 5mtr length would work better for this technique then you would not have to join two colours together.

And this little ring to match your summer outfits would be simple and I assume quite quick to make.

Linda used finger weaving with two colours of seam binding to make this wonderful bracelet - so effective. Just tie it in place and go!

Look at the detail, the seam binding almost moulds together.

I believe this is also finger weaving - love the colour combo.  Linda finished this bracelet with a barrel clasp.

We would like to thank everyone that joined in with the Seam Binding Challenge - it has been the longest challenge we have done.  The numbers were larger and everyone had put so much time and creativity into their products that extra close up photos were required. You all created such stunning creations.

I am now FREE to start ripping open those button parcels that have been calling me.......oooooh the urge to get stuck into them has been huge......my self control has been second to none!!!

Sorry I forget to mention earlier in the week that Lucy had a fantastic wedding and said she had a wonderful daughter.  She would like to thank everyone for their good luck messages and has promised us a photo or two.

Have an awesome weekend everyone, enjoy the weather and have fun.

If you are unable to leave a comment due to our spam filters, please email it to craftyribbons@gmail.com and we will add it for you.  All the comments go into our "Bingo" bag and we draw a random number(s) on Monday.

A right Regal bag

clock March 29, 2011 17:24 by author Crafty Ribbons

Well, what can I say - your support overwhelmed me.  You left such wonderful comments and sent delightful emails of encouragement after yesterdays posting, THANK YOU.

As they say in France "on y va" - lets go.

Bev has a right Regal NEW Ribbon Bag!

Quite spooky to think that Bev's NEW Ribbon Bag is all Regal in Red, White and Blue when I was only playing around with the colours at the weekend.  We must be on the same wave length. Lots of plain simple ribbon in the royal colours, as well as a few with gold edges.  And of course she had to put a polka dot in!  Foiled hearts to say we love you and the Regal bag would not be complete without the Union Jack Ribbon.  Bev's NEW Regal bag could be yours for only £5.00 - bargain! The union Jack ribbon on it's own is £1 a mtr. To buy Bev's bag just click HERE

For the first time in weeks I felt as if I had time to myself today, I have even completed tomorrows Hello Wednesday project!  Not something I normally do until wednesday morning. Nope I am not going to tell, you will have to check back tomorrow to have a looksee.

I finally took the last photos from our Easter Bunny Hop Challenge - they had come all the way from Australia.  So without further ado let me show you Yvonnes and Annettes scrummy goodies.

All aboard the Easter Train.  Wow that is truly wicked Yvonne, what a simple clever idea.

Is it a bird? Is it a card? No it is.........

....a concertina photo album. Magic Yvonne, this will be just perfect for what I have planned this Easter.  An Easter Bunny hunt for the little ones, I have been telling them that I have been growing baby chocolate bunnies, so that they can find them in my garden.  The bunnies are not very big and needs to eat loads before Easter, so they will be nice and fat and chocolately to eat.  I did not think any more about this little story until Rachie phoned me to say that Mollie was in a state, crying her heart out - they had gone round to Bev's house to feed her bunnies while they were at Disneyland and Mollie was adamant that we had to go to Ali's house to feed her bunnies. But Ali doesn't have bunnies, sorry Rachie.

A perfect Easter tag from Annette.....just think of the size of Easter egg this would look good on.

I hope I have photographed this correctly Annette.  I have never seen a corner book mark before - it is truly gorgeous.

Wow she is beautiful Annette.

I think I am 99.9% convinced that I have shown everyones creations - it has been a very long challenge, what with being away at the shows and then losing my SD card.  If I have missed any, please do email me at  craftyribbons@gmail.com and I will do a search.

With everybodys agreement can I start to open the challenge Seam Binding envelopes tomorrow....please.....pretty please!
