All that we have done!

Hello Wednesday - Winnie Witch

Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday  "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!

As I am away in Dublin over Halloween I am going to be missing out on the little ones all in their spook outfits, waving their ribbon wands - boo hoo. A little girl came up to me last week and said "Ali -Winnie doesn't have an outfit to wear for Halloween, he would like a purple and black one like mine" - how could I say no. Not that I was very busy or anything, Sydney added "You could have Winnie when I am at school, then I wouldn't miss him".  She had obviously thought this out.

So meet Winnie the Witch

Black and purple ummmm ok.  Down the ribbon aisles we went, sourcing the correct ribbons Syd had in mind - remember Syd has been working with ribbon since before she could walk and has a huge mental colour spectrum, it is not just purple in her eyes.  Black ribbon from the halloween section, purple from the Vine yard shelf.  "He must have ribbons coming from his hat Ali".  I have to make a hat as well!!!

So as well as launching umpteen NEW ranges, planning the exhibtion stands for Dublin and hobbycrafts and helping to despatch the orders, I made Winnie a witches outfit.....

.....with a hat and all from ribbon.  But would Syd like it?

She loved Winnie the Witch. We went down to the woods to try and take a few spooky photos, but Syd was worried that Winnie would fall from the branches and wanted to hold onto him all the time!

A few bits of ribbon, scissors and a needle and thread and you can make dreams come true.

(For those of you who maybe new to the blog - Sydney is my niece (Bev's daughter) and Winnie is her favourite bear, he has been with her since 0.  Sydney does know that Winnie is a boy but has no problem in him wearing dresses.  Every now and again I make him outfits from ribbon alone, The first was a ballerina outfit so he could go to ballet classes with Sydney and so on)
