Best of British Day 7 - time for an easel

Lots, and lots going on today - not only is it Day 7 of our Best of British event, but it is also time for a NEW Challenge over on our Challenge Blog.

Tessa and Anke have picked the NEW theme for the challenge. An Easel Card

Yikes!! I had never made one of those.  I have seen them, several have been sent in for our Ribbon Challenges, BUT me make one.............................

..............OK here goes......................

I had no image for today so thought I would make my own. These strawberry ribbons just shout summer and can be found here.  To create the ruffled effect with the red ribbon I just put some double sided tape onto the card and pleated the ribbon and stuck it down.  Great fun to try as it does not need to be straight!  Think my Easel card is rather laid back, next time I would make it more upright by putting the bottom section (white ribbon) further back.  But hey ho it was my first ever easel card.

The ribbon star is called Ribbon Patchwork or Somerset Patchwork, you can download the tutorial video clip here. The little buttons come from the Christmas Berry Button box here.

OK who spotted the NEW Ribbons first?  That is correct the Sewn with love and Made for you are part of the NEW Sentiment ribbons.  Exclusive to us, we printed the sentiments on white, cream, lt blue and pale pink, soft muted colours so they can also be sewn into your creations.

The NEW Sentiment Ribbons - Hand Made.  I will tell you more about these on Friday.

I nearly forgot to tell you who our sponsor for the Best of British is today....................

....................it is us again and boy do we have a prize for you today.

For a chance to win the voucher you have to go and visit our Inspiration blog here.  Why £24 you are asking?  It is the 24th May which is rather a special day for me.................
