Morning everyone, how are you today?
What a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend, the weather was a delight.
Both my cakes turned out well, although took a lot longer then planned.
This is the cake I made for Bev’s husband Greg,
like Tony he is a bit of a petrol head.
It was also a BIG birthday – (check out the numbers on the racing cars!)
It is the first time I have been able to pick and choose what “boy ribbons” I could use.
The NEW racing car ribbons here were just what I needed.
The 9mm width is perfect for around the cake boards
I have never made anything as fancy as this before, it took me 4 hours!
I had real problems with the car spoilers, they kept flopping.
I was just being impatient and would not allow them to dry.
The cake went down a storm, although Greg was very embarrassed when the restaurant
all sang Happy Birthday to him as the cake was walked to the table.
The best bit………………….it tasted yummy.
