We have had so much fun with our Friday FREEBIES - sending out prezzies each week is so wicked. BUT.... receiving them is even better!!!
We had a wonderful parcel marked with "The Crafty Ribbon Crew" (I like that!) and inside we had treats for all. Lynne was one of the winners of our Christmas Selection Box a few weeks back, she is a Dorset girl so came and collected her prize from the warehouse. Sadly she crashed her car on the way home, she is ok but is without a car for the moment. Look what she has made for the "Crew" - this cheeky reindeer is soooo soft, after we all had a cuddle I whisked her away into my exhibition display box - so pop by at the next exhibition and say "Hi" to her. She needs a name - any ideas?
This is our FIRST Christmas card - look at those ribbons, we love gingham. We thought last year was a gingham Christmas but from the sales so far, it looks as if 2009 is going to top 2008. I love gingerbread men (real ones that you can eat) tied with gingham ribbon. I keep meaning to make some - but then I would have to confess to Tony that I know where the kitchen is!
There is more - we all got a delightful fabric sack filled with coins, trimmed with ribbon and a tag. Thank you Lynne, I can not promise that the choccies will make it till Christmas. All the ribbons Lynne used came from her Christmas Selection Box prize.
I had this crazy idea in the summer for the Christmas Selection Box of ribbons - I made a mock up of the deisgn, (I only had tiny pieces of ribbons from colour charts, poking out of the holes). I showed it to the team to get their reaction to see if we should take it further. With thumbs up from everyone, I made the commitment and placed the order. To get the amazing price of £5.00 each, I had to order oodles of them (scarey moment), whats even more scarey is that we have sold them.....ALL. The entire shipment has gone, every single one. You are loving them, the ribbons, the box, the design. Don't panic - we have an urgent shipment due in Monday, so we will have plenty to take to Glasgow for the Hobbycraft show next week.
I had a secret email from Beryl asking who our 3 little helpers were. They normally come into the office on Monday afternoons to take part in the Friday FREEBIE "Bingo" bag moment!!! Why did Beryl want to know?
She had made these gorgeous mini santa books for our little ones. All the ribbons had come from the Selection Box we sent her for challenge 8. These are just wonderful, each page is decorated differently, they must have taken you ages Beryl.
Beryl designed these books for her grandaughters - the story goes that if you write in them (room for some pictures too) and leave the book out with cookies and milk on Christmas eve, then Santa will know what to leave you. What a brillant idea - does it work for adults too?
On the back page they have their names - Mollie, Sydney and Sam. Beryl these are adorable, I showed them to Bev and Rachie and they were overwhelmed - Thank You, you are so talented.
Some kind person has given me wonderful cold from Ally Pally, so I am coughing and spluttering around the warehouse feeling sorry for myself, I can even answer the phone and nobody knows it me!! I have a big pile of envelopes that contain our BLING challenge goodies, more on that later in the week, I am off to bed - Tony I need extra TLC.....Please.
