Best of British Day 3 - KEEP CALM

Whooooeee day 3 is here, huge thanks to everyone that is joining in with our Best of British event.  We are having great fun reading all your wonderful comments on all the DT girls blogs.

We have a super duper sponsor for today........................how long can I keep you guessing..................it is?

What can I say about Crafty Ribbons that you do not already know.  We do have a truly scrumptious prize for one lucky winner.  These ribbons are BRAND SPANKING NEW, as far as we know there are no others like it anywhere........

Crafty Ribbons  prize for today is a bundle of these KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON Ribbons. For a chance to win you have to leave your details on our Inspiration blog here. (We would love you to leave a comment with us as well, but for a chance of the prize it must be on the blog below.)

The KEEP CALM Ribbons only arrived with us on Friday, they took a little detour to Germany for a few days.  The consignment was 8 huge boxes, 2 arrived earlier in the week (stock ribbons), but according to the courier the other 6 boxes had all split open and had to be sent to Germany to be re-sealed!!  Not sure which scared me more, the ribbons would not arrive in time for todays prize OR my beautiful NEW ribbons were being touched by others!!

All was well, it was only 2 boxes that were damaged, but ALL the ribbons were fine.

I have been itching to get my hands on these ribbons - 3 colours red, purple and pink and..........................you can find them here.  Be one of the first crafters in the country to craft with these KEEP CALM ribbons - only 5 people have these ribbons at the moment!

I used buttons from the NEW Vintage button box here.  I had the pearly Kings and Queens in mind when I planned the cushion - you can not get more British than them!

The crown I cut from cream felt and hand stitched around the outside with plain running stitches.  The red buttons came from our Christmas button box here.

I have been working on this cushion for weeks, my poor thumb really complained at sewing the buttons on.  Some evenings I only managed to sew four or five on!!  When it was finished I proudly held it up to Tony - only to be told the letters were not straight.  Yes they are I grumbled, its the shape of the cushion!!!

If you want those ribbons then go and leave your details on our Inspiration blog here.  The Design Team have made another super array of goodies, all for your INSPIRATION.
