Challenge blog - butterflies & bows

Time for a new challenge over on our Challenge blog.  Gina is hosting the new challenge and she has picked the theme

BUTTERFLIES & BOWS

To be honest I am a little carded out, making cards does not come easliy to me and so I thought I thought I would do something different.  I have a friend with a birthday this week, and I know she keeps the ribbons from her prezzie, I could combine the two - prezzie wrapping and butterflies and bows.

I think there is nothing quite like crisp white grosgrain ribbon here.  It looks just so fresh and perfect.  To bring in the butterfly theme I used our blue butterfly ribbon here.   Thinking it looked rather plain for my friend, I made a few hovering butterflies!

I simply cut the butterflies from the ribbon and threaded on some craft wire.  To give them a kind of movement I twisted the wire around a lollipop stick to create a spring.

Our design team have made some super creations with butterflies and bows - check them out here.  Thank you to everyone that joined in with our last challenge and hope to see you back this time...................we do have a scrummy prize..................

If you are looking for some fresh, crisp ribbons to use on your summer crafting then do check out this NEW Range, it is being uploaded to the website today.  When it is live, you will find it here.  Some of you may have had some of these ribbons - Bev sneaked some of them into her last Bev's bag!

I received a wonderful email from Karen, a follower of this blog and also our NEW Inspiration blog.  She sent me photos of some of her creations she made for her children to celebrate the Jubilee.  A crown for each and a little card for them to remember the day.

A King for the day

Love the use of this ribbon Karen.

Great flags too.

Thank you so much for sharing these creations with us Karen.

Have a good day all.
