The dress was moving along.
The idea in my head was beginning to come to life.
Read part one here and part two here
It was looking like a dress.
Sewing the bodice to the skirt was easy.
Mollie had her first experience at being “pinned” into a dress,
but she still could not stand still!
The top was a little more tricky, Mollie is so small that I ended up sewing all of it by hand.
She did not want long sleeves as mummy had got her some Elsa gloves.
Phew! I was happy to oblige, short sleeves are much easier to construct.
As I set the sleeves to the top, I remembered the last time I had worked on sleeves.
It must have been for Rachie’s wedding dress some………years ago!
“Elsa has a split in her dress Ali” we had a little disagreement as to which side,
so we watched the movie together. (Pleased to see I was correct).
“But where is the cape Ali” – it was getting all a little too much for Mollie, she was so excited.
She phoned me last week to ask if her dress would be ready for the weekend.
She had a secret party to go to and wanted to wear it.
What secret party Mollie?
Pop back tomorrow and you will see one very happy little girl.
We have a new challenge starting today
Go on join in this week.
